Raffles | April 2 | 11am

Batik Brunch ~ Mehndi

Please arrive to Raffles in your Batik outfit.

  • Dressy casual with Batik print, bold patterns, or florals

  • Henna & Malaysian Event for all to get decorated

  • All styles welcome (dress shirts, dresses, sari, etc.), but bonus points for Malaysian attire (kebaya, baju kurung, sarong, etc.)! More resources are in the Clothing Guide.

Raffles | April 2 | 6pm

Laal Shaam

  • Cultural formal, with a vintage touch; this is our Night of Red

  • Colors: Reds (honoring Chinese & Indian tradition), black, and gold

  • Please wear an heirloom or a piece of sentimental or cultural value to you. We want to showcase the diverse heritages and treasured heirlooms of our guests from all over the world. Don’t stress over this β€” it can be as timeless as a red gown or grand as your wedding qi pao if you want! More ideas for an heirloom can be found in the Clothing Guide.

  • Make sure you can dance πŸ•ΊπŸ’ƒ This is the Sangeet (music night)!

Tea Ceremony

  • Chinese / East-Asian Traditional Ceremony Gift Exchange

  • Light garden colors β€” jade and sage green, cream, jade accents

  • Traditional Chinese attire is warmly encouraged. Otherwise, we invite you to reflect the color palette and Chinese motifs in a way that is comfortable and accessible to you.

Wedding Ceremony

  • Traditional formal / Indian ceremonial encouraged

  • Soft neutral, airy tones β€” creams and light colors

  • Please avoid bold, saturated colors. Light, understated colors will elegantly complement the ceremony.

Reception

  • Formal evening wear, black-tie inspired

  • Contemporary Western-leaning β€” suits, tuxes, dresses

  • Feel free to remain in your wedding ceremony attire or to change into an evening look β€” think refined silhouettes, rich fabrics, and darker tones.
